This is the first in a series of four high-resolution Norfolk Coast Path maps, covering the Norfolk Coast Path walk which runs for 84 miles from Hunstanton to Hopton-on-Sea. Created with OS 1:25 000 data enhanced to 1:16 000, these laminated maps are easy to read and VERY easy to use in the field.
This Norfolk Coast Path map starts in Hunstanton and finishes in Stiffkey, an approximate distance of 27 miles. Leaving Hunstanton, known for its striking striped cliffs and Victorian charm, the route takes you past the scenic Hunstanton Cliffs, where you have panoramic views of the North Sea. The Norfolk Coast Path Trail passes through the quiet village of Holme-next-the-Sea, home to Norfolk Wildlife Trusts, Holme Dunes National Nature Reserve, a haven for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts. Further along, the path leads you to the wide beaches and sand dunes of Brancaster, with the remains of Branodunum Roman Fort and views of Scolt Head Island National Nature Reserve. Continuing East, you pass through the picturesque village of Burnham Overy Staithe, with its charming harbour. The path reaches Holkham Bay, with its vast sands backed by pine woods, part of the Holkham National Nature Reserve and nearby is Holkham Hall, a stately home with beautiful parklands. The trail then takes you to Wells-next-the-Sea, a busy harbour town with a scenic quay and colourful beach huts. Finally, the path arrives at Stiffkey, famous for its salt marshes and creeks. This stretch of the Norfolk Coast Path offers a rich tapestry of natural beauty, historical landmarks, and quaint coastal villages, making it a captivating journey for walkers.
