Beacons Way 2: Bwlch to Craig-y-nos Walking Map

This second map in the three-part series starts at Bwlch before heading towards Craig-y-nos Country Park via Llangynidr, Craig y Fan Ddu, Fan y Big, Pen y Fan, Storey Arms Centre, Craig y Fro, Fan Dringarth, Fan Llia, Sarn Helen and Penwyllt.

The Beacons Way runs for 99 miles across the spectacular upland scenery of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Parkfrom Abergavenny train station to Llangadog train station through Monmouthshire, Powys and Carmarthenshire in Wales. The trail follows remote, rugged terrain and can be challenging with 8,500 feet of ascent. It is waymarked where it crosses farmland, but there is no waymarking on open hills and moorland so it is advisable to have good route navigational skills and a compass. The Beacons Way was devised by the late John Sansom (an avid walker and key member of the Brecon Beacons Park Society), in conjunction with Arwel Michael and Chris Barber.
